Pacific’s newly remodeled library provides over 1600 square feet conducive to study and research. A valuable resource for students and alumni, the libraries may also be open to interested health professionals, patients, researchers and alumni by special arrangement.

Holdings

There are many resources available in PCHS’s New York campus library, including print, electronic, and media materials on Eastern and Western medicine, as well as herb samples and anatomical models..

Equipment & Resources

There are currently 14 PCs, 5 iPads, 6 laptops, 2 printers, and copy machines available for use in the library. Computer use is on a first-come first-served basis. There is also a work study assistant available at regular hours in the Library to help students with questions. Computer training is available to students, staff and faculty by appointment. Please see a librarian for details.

Pacific College provides its students with free e-mail accounts and service.

Borrowing Privileges

A PCHS student ID is required to check out library materials. Books (a maximum of 2 at a time) may be checked out for one week. Materials may be renewed twice for an additional week, either by stopping by or calling. Materials may be returned to the library or the book return located just outside of the library.

Fines for Overdue Materials

$0.50 per day (2nd week)
$1.00 per day (3rd week) $15.00 anytime thereafter

Weekends are included in the calculation of fines. Replacement fees are $15.00 plus the cost of replacing the item. Unpaid fines may result in denial of registration, transcripts, or other administrative requests.

Online Library Catalog

Through the New York campus’s Online Catalog, users are able to look up books, journals, videos, reference papers and more. In addition, circulation borrowing records including borrowers, checkout and returns are also a part of this system. Click for the Online Library Catalog.
