Dr. Greg Lane, a native San Diegan, is a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, California licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist, and Chinese herbalist. He currently serves as dean of graduate faculty and was formerly director of clinical services for Pacific College of Health and Science – San Diego. In his private practice, Dr. Lane focuses on women’s health, orthopedics, pain management and drug and alcohol detoxification. Dr. Lane has been in practice for over 25 years, helping patients to enjoy a baseline of health and vitality that is sustained through proper maintenance, thus preventing injury and disease. Dr. Lane believes in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and incorporates mindfulness, taiji, and qigong practices into his recommendations. Dr. Lane’s background includes a bachelor of fine arts from California Institute of the Arts and a master’s of science in traditional Oriental medicine from Pacific College.

Lane is also a health and wellness coach , having managed operations for Healthyroads Total Population Health Coaching for American Specialty Health. In this role, Greg oversaw the day-to-day operations of a staff of 100 health coaches and supervisors, helping members achieve their goals in weight management, tobacco cessation and stress management. During his tenure in Los Angeles, Lane co-owned California Medical Arts Group and maintained hospital privileges at Century City Hospital, working within an integrated group of pain management specialists under Joseph Heims, MD. During this time he also worked with David Kipper, MD in Beverly Hills providing acupuncture treatments as part of a drug and alcohol detox program. Dr. Lane has served as professor at Pacific College in the Herbology department and was a senior herbalist and author for Elixir Tonics & Teas in West Hollywood. Lane has also been licensed through the New York Board of Acupuncture and the Virginia Board of Acupuncture, in which capacity he has provided peer review clinical oversight and utilization management for a network of acupuncturists managed through American Specialty Health.

Dr. Lane began his career as an acupuncturist after a successful career as an internationally touring professional dancer. Dr. Lane is an Encinitas resident, an avid surfer, soccer player and father of four beautiful children. He brings his innate understanding of the body, empathetic nature, and experience as a taiji practitioner to every patient treatment and working relationship.
