Henry McCann, DAOM, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist (NY, NJ, OR) with a private practice in Madison, NJ. Dr. McCann is a graduate of Oberlin College and was a Fulbright scholar to Japan before studying Chinese medicine first at the New England School of Acupuncture and then at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. The author of several articles and books on Chinese medicine, Dr. McCann lectures regularly on advanced topics in Chinese medicine throughout the United States and Europe. He is an expert on the Dong (Tung) lineage of classical acupuncture and practices herbal medicine in the Huo Shen Pai and Lei Fang Pai lineages of Shang Han Lun herbalism. Dr. McCann is a specialist in the Nourishing Life tradition of Chinese medicine, and in the treatment of Geriatric and other chronic difficult to treat diseases. He also has a special interest in Asian approaches to emotional healing, having finished a certificate in Japanese Psychology at the ToDo Institute in Vermont.
