Dr. Kristie Oles obtained her associate degree in nursing from Kent State University and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Youngstown State University. She furthered her education through University of Phoenix, online, where she obtained a master of science in nursing and then completed her doctoral at Argosy University in education and organizational leadership. She is, at heart, a post-cardiac care nurse. She has had the wonderful opportunity to work for the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System and Humility of Mary Health Partners.
In 2006, she transitioned into nursing education. She was the director of a practical nursing education program and taught for a registered nursing program on-ground. In 2010, she started work for the Ohio Board of Nursing as an Education Regulatory Surveyor and is currently practicing in this role. She has taught online nursing students in master’s and doctoral nursing programs since 2012, and developed curriculum and courses for these types of programs.
She completed a fellowship for the National Council for State Boards of Nursing, was awarded the Fellow of Regulatory Excellent (FRE), and is currently working on another NCSBN certification, International Center for Regulatory Scholarship (ICRS).
