Dana M Moore, LAc, DAc, is the Director of Recreation Therapy at New York State Psychiatric Institute, serving the mental health and mentally ill population. She is also a New York State licensed and board certified acupuncturist, and a graduate of Pacific College’s New York campus (2009). She now serves as a clinic supervisor and faculty instructor at Pacific College-NY.
Dana has a passion for service and is committed to bringing health, wellness, and acupuncture services to underserved populations and communities. As a recreation therapist, she uses the medium of recreation and leisure activities to improve health, functional abilities, and independence to enhance one’s quality of life. Within her acupuncture practice, she focuses on pain management, psycho-emotional issues, health maintenance, and substance use disorders. As a research acupuncturist, she has taken part in various acupuncture trials to deliver acupuncture therapy for the treatment of chronic pain in underserved communities.
Dana has a desire to serve and is dedicated to helping patients on their journey to wellness. She also strives to help students find their true passion and purpose, transform negative thought patterns, build confidence, and create a space where happiness and success coexist.
