Pacific College of Health and Science’s Nursing program is rapidly growing. We are seeking a dynamic individual for the full-time position of Associate Dean of Entry into Practice on our New York City campus.
**Onsite Work: This is a campus-based position with opportunity for limited remote work.**
Position Overview:
The Associate Dean of Entry into Practice is a key leadership role overseeing all academic operations related to the pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This role ensures the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the program’s operations, clinical learning experiences, and student support services. The Associate Dean will work closely with faculty, clinical partners, and students to ensure excellence in education and the preparation of future nursing professionals. This position reports to the Dean of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Operations and Program Management:

- Lead and manage all academic operations related to the pre-licensure BSN.
- Oversee course and clinical scheduling to ensure alignment with program objectives, accreditation standards, and student needs.
- Ensure compliance with state nursing board regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
Clinical Learning Experience:

- Provide oversight of all clinical learning experiences, ensuring they are aligned with program outcomes and meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Learning Development to ensure the adequacy and appropriateness of clinical placements for students.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of clinical placements through continuous feedback from students, faculty, and clinical partners.
Faculty Supervision and Support:

- Recruit, hire, and mentor clinical faculty, providing guidance and oversight in their roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations of clinical faculty and provide opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Ensure clinical faculty are supported in delivering high-quality educational experiences, including orientation and ongoing training.
Student Support and Success:

- Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and support services to provide comprehensive academic support for students.
- Monitor student progression and retention, implementing strategies to support students facing academic challenges.
- Oversee the evaluation of student learning outcomes in the clinical environment, ensuring timely feedback and support to promote academic success.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State RN license (or eligibility for).
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in nursing education, including experience with clinical instruction.
- Experience in academic leadership and program management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards related to nursing education.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field (PhD, DNP, EdD).Â
- Experience with online or hybrid nursing education programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
Salary Expectations: $145,000.00 – $160,000.00 Annually
