Pacific College of Health and Science is thrilled to announce that Joy N. White, MSN, MBA, WHNP-BC, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Ms. White currently serves as the senior advisor to the Undersecretary for Health, Office of Patient Care Services within the Veterans Health Administration. There she helps coordinate the efforts of these national programs: Women’s Health, Caregiver Support, Care Management & Social Work, Chaplain, Office of Nursing Services, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy Benefits Management, Rehabilitation & Prosthetic Services, Sterile Processing, and the newly consolidated Population Health Services, which includes the Office of Health Equity, Post Deployment Health, LGBTQ+ Health, and the National Center for Health Promotion/Disease Prevention.
White’s Role and Advocacy in Holistic Health
Her main role with the Pacific College’s Board of Directors will be to advise and support the expansion and vision of the college’s holistic nursing programs. She will also contribute her valuable insights to the mission and outreach efforts of the college’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee, and to the overall direction of the health coaching, public health education, and medical cannabis programs.
Ms. White, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, is a fierce advocate for health, wellness, and wholeness for women. She is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner, and the founder/chief executive officer of the Women’s Wellness Garden, a concierge coaching practice that provides comprehensive and holistic coaching in the areas of spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, social, occupational, environmental, and intellectual wellness.

As a wife and mother of three adult children, she deeply understands the stressors and unique challenges that come with caring for family and aligning family, career, education, community commitments, personal health, and wellness. Her mantra is “whole health is a lifestyle!”
“My goal in serving on the board is to ensure Pacific College of Health and Science is to fulfill its critical mission of transforming healthcare from atomistic to holistic and integrative, with the ultimate goal of equipping persons to live healthy, happy, and whole lives,” says White.
