Online Approach To Marketing Acupuncture For The Treatment Of Infertility
By, Elie Goldschmidt, L.Ac.
Do you treat patients for infertility in your clinic?
Would you like to attract more of these patients? As the public has become more and more aware of the benefits of acupuncture for the treatment of infertility, there has been a growing number of online searches for acupuncture infertility treatments. Last month, more than 5,000 prospective patients searched online for acupuncture infertility treatments. This number was up from 3,000 just a few months earlier.* In New York alone there were hundreds! When prospective patients search Google for "acupuncture infertility New York," they are presented with over 500,000 results. That is a lot of direct competition! To be found by these prospective patients, you will need to be listed within the first few pages of results, as research shows most people do not look much past the third page. So, with hundreds of thousands of results, how is it possible to compete and not miss out on these prospective patients? One of the most important things you can do to rank higher in the search engines and attract these infertility patients is to include a proper Title Tag on your website. Out of the 500,000 search results, I discovered that only 51 included a proper Title Tag. That's less than a half of a percent! This pattern was visible with many other cities. For example, San Diego showed the competition at over 200,000 and only 26 included a proper Title Tag. A Title Tag is the name of that particular web page. It's a short overview of what your web page is about and is the first thing that the search engines see when they decide to rank your web page. I see thousands of acupuncture websites that have their Title Tag say "Home" or "Welcome to." These sites are rarely, if ever, found through the search engines by prospective patients. If you want to attract more infertility patients, you should inc lude the words 'acupuncture infertility' along with your city in your Title Tag. Google says, "Make sure your title tags are descriptive and accurate. Consider the title tag a place to showcase the most important topic for each page." More and more prospective patients are finding their acupuncturists online. By following this advice, you will have a greater chance of outranking your competition and attracting more infertility patients into your office every single month.
