Dr. Anderson earned her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Sydney (Australia), and her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA, Boston, MA). Dr. Anderson has over 20 years of administrative, clinical, research and teaching experience. Recent research positions were at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at NESA in collaboration with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Anderson is currently the Academic Dean and Research Director at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (NY). She is an Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Yeshiva University, NY) and maintains a private practice at New York University Fertility Center. Dr. Anderson is widely published, serves as an editor for several complementary and alternative medical journals, regularly participates on National Institute of Health (NIH) National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) expert panels, and is a member of the Research Working Group of Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care. In 2013 she was granted a five-year NIH NCCAM K07 Career Development Award to undertake Evidence Informed Practice faculty training and curriculum development at PCOM-NY.
